Hello all!!
This scripture was the theme for this week, "Behold,
we are not
of your faith;
we do not believe that it is God that has delivered us into your hands; but we
believe that it is your cunning that has preserved you from our swords. Behold,
it is your breastplates and your shields
that have preserved you." Alma 44:9
A lot of people we met this week were like
this. We lost our only investigator with a baptismal date because of
this. A lot of people don't believe God is in their lives. They
believe they do everything themselves, and God does nothing. That doesn't
sound very happy to me. Well, being a missionary and having had the opportunity
to see so many miracles in the lives of others I can testify that the Lord is
in EVERY ONE OF OUR LIVES. He knows you and me. He loves us and
wants to help us. He knows what we're capable of. When we put our
lives in his hands He will make us great. We just have to trust
him. I'm learning to be more grateful in my life for what God has done
for me. Without Him we wouldn't be here.
My companion also found a really good scripture
this morning that helped us get out of the dirt;
"Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail." D&C 6: 34
The Lord lets us fall so we realize our
foundation. We learn to lean on Him. He is there to help us,
especially with His work.
Let’s see...what else...We had zone training this
week. It was really good and they talked a lot about baptism and the
importance of the baptismal planner. It was a really good training and I
learned a lot.
One of our investigators we thought was dead is
ALIVE!!! The only problem is he drank a little before our last meeting so he
was a little tipsy. He decided to bring us duck head...cut in half with
everything showing. I would have tried it but didn't get the
opportunity...plus we had already eaten and I was full!
We met some people finding that
had awesome records...really old ones.
Well, that's all folks! LOVE YOU ALL!
